Definition

Ability to move a joint through its full range of motion (ROM); Facilitates movement and “may” decrease incidence of injury; Depends on distensibility of the joint capsule, temperature, muscle viscosity, and tightness of ligaments/tendons surrounding joint; Specific to a given joint.
