They were sariyyahs. Therefore, when orientalists claim that Islam is a warlike religion, they leave out the detail that out of the “80 wars”, majority were not even actual battles where the Prophet was present (ghazwas) 8. How was the Battle of Badr a turning point in Islamic history? How is it similar to the current conflict we are in? a. Muslims conquered an enemy perceived as a ‘superpower’ (Quraysh). Who is the superpower today? 9. Discuss the fatal mistake the Muslims made in the Battle of Uhud that resulted in their loss. 10. What does 'ahzab' mean?, and why is that the name given to the Battle of Ahzab? a. Ahzab = factions = plural of “hizb” (faction) b. All factions of enemies of Islam united (10k in total).
