MUSIC OF MINDORO, PALAWAN AND VISAYAS
-The music of Mindoro, Palawan, and the Visayas can be in vocal form of instrumental. Vocal music is a genre of music performed by one or more singers, with or without the accompaniment of musical instruments, in which singing provides the most focus of the piece. Instrumental music is a recording without any vocals and is primarily or exclusively produced using musical instruments. There are many tribes with different musical traditions and practices in Mindoro and Palawan. They focus on family life, thanksgiving, good harvest, nature, as well as spiritual aspects. The Visayas have different rituals, ceremonies, and leisure that they prefer to accompany music and instruments. They are fond of singing, dancing, and playing traditional instruments.
MUSIC OF MINDORO
-Mindoro is an island located in southwestern Luzon. It is composed of two provinces: Occidental and Oriental Mindoro. Tagalog is their main language, though the native Visayan and Mangyan languages greatly influence some parts.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
AGUNG
-Used in an ensemble by the Hanunuo, which consists of two light gongs played by two men squatting on the floor: one man beats with a lightly padded stick on the rim of one of the gongs. Both performers play in simple duple rhythms.
KUDLUNG
-A boat-shaped body with a frets string instrument. The manner of playing the string is through plucking. It is also called kutyapi or kudyapi in Maguindanao.

SULING
-It is also known as a banded flute. It is a long tube bamboo made of tamiang bamboo, which has a very thin surface. The head of the suling, near its small hole, is circled with a narrow band made of rattan to produce air vibration.

PAGANG
-Pagang is also known as bamboo zither. It is made of one whole node of bamboo, which is partly slit to keep the node from splitting apart. It has strings that are raised with frets underneath.
