Definition

The music of Mindoro, Palawan, and the Visayas can be in vocal form of instrumental. Vocal music is a genre of music performed by one or more singers, with or without the accompaniment of musical instruments, in which singing provides the most focus of the piece. Instrumental music is a recording without any vocals and is primarily or exclusively produced using musical instruments. There are many tribes with different musical traditions and practices in Mindoro and Palawan. They focus on family life, thanksgiving, good harvest, nature, as well as spiritual aspects. The Visayas have different rituals, ceremonies, and leisure that they prefer to accompany music and instruments. They are fond of singing, dancing, and playing traditional instruments.
